The console provides complete content management for managing location-based push notification messages. To the recipient, the message looks like any other app-based notification.
The messages are targeted using rules that combine location and time.
Messages can be simple ("Trigger notification on entry to the venue") or sophisticated ("Send a notification to app users who have been at the venue for at least 4 hours but who have not visited the merchandising area on level 3").
First, make sure you have added regions to the floorplan/map corresponding to where you want to target any messages. Do that in My Venues>Regions. You'll use one or more regions in creating the audience segment for any message.
To compose, schedule and target a message, you'll need to be on the Messaging module.
If messaging is configured, click on the compose message button in the top right:
Then step through the three tabs: message content, schedule message, Filter message audience.
To send a message you will need to publish the message and then send the message (if a manual send) or wait until the broadcast or trigger window time, at which point the message will commence sending.
