You'll need to use GPS activation locations if your app requires outdoor positioning.
Without an activation location, no GPS data will be generated.
Activation locations can be made up of two data precision levels, enabling tight control of data collection.
These best-in-class controls put user privacy first. They mean that background location tracking (i.e. when the app is not on screen) is only enabled when required - for example when users are on site.
That way you only collect the data you need. And customers won’t be concerned about location icons or mobile operating system warnings that suggest they’re being tracked at home or work.
You can set the GPS activation areas to be as small or large as you require - and amend them whenever your want. That flexibility supports different use cases - from wide-area tracking for an app that requires it, to onsite-only tracking, for say an event app.
