We make it super easy to import a floor plan, site plan or venue map into the console.
Introduction: we can import plans from anywhere
For PoCs and trials, a fully geo-referenced and searchable map with routing may not be needed. So we provide a built-in mapping solution for simple use cases.
Simply upload a bitmap image of your floorplan, scale it, and enable navigation, analytics and location-based messaging with no need for geo-referencing and no need for third-party mapping providers.
For more complex requirements like PoIs, dynamic routing, data overlays and nearby search, import your map from any indoor mapping provider.
So we provide deep integrations with all the leading indoor mapping providers.
We also support standards like IMDF and GeoJSON.
Read our Importing Floorplans article for details of the process for each import routine.
Outdoor location? Overlay a site plan on a world map
If you have an event at an outdoor location (e.g. a festival) your site will be temporary in nature. Here you'll want to combine a map background with the details of your site layout - i.e. all the temporary infrastructure that is not shown on any publicly available map.
How to do this is detailed in this article: How do I add a map and a site plan for my outdoor venue/event?
Multiple plans
Your licence tier dictates the number of plans you can upload.
The default is a single plan - whether that is a single indoor plan or an outdoor map (World Surface).
If you select the World Surface, you are able to upload multiple site plans to overlay on this - typically this is useful for events that have multiple geographically separated locations.
If you require multiple plans (e.g. for multiple levels in a building), please contact Crowd Connected sales.
