This guide describes the equipment and devices that form the tag tracking solution.

Gateways

A small number of gateways (usually one per floor, or fewer) are used to connect the system to the internet.

Gateways require power and ethernet (NB not blocked by requiring authentication) or can be configured for cell connection (SIM card).

Beacons

Beacons are installed inside and outside each area where attendee tracking is required. The require no power or network, and can be temporarily installed using self-adhesive pads.

Tags

Tags are attached to each individual to be tracked. 

Clips

Clips are used to attach tags to lanyards.
